2nds home to Thornbury

The 2nd's pulled off a double over Thornbury in a one sided encounter held at the Deane.

Batting first the 2nds amassed a good score of 253 for 8 thanks to useful contributions from top scorer Henry Mellor (74), Sam Loud and Jack Fraser both with (33) and a great late impetus in the innings coming from a fired up Keith Ford (58*)

In reply Thornbury were never in the race losing 3 wickets in no time. Richard Hawkins with 60 the only main contributor to a poor run chase as Thornbury were all out for 150 with 6 overs to go.
Pick of the bowlers were Matt Derham 7-2-9-1., Jason Squire 6-1-25-2 and Joel Larkman 8-1-23-3

The win sees the 2nds pull 30 points clear of the relegation and into 6th place. Another couple of wins should see them comfortably finish mid table.

Next game is away to Keynsham who sit 5 points below them on the table.
