2nds home to Corsham

Deane 2nds made it 5 wins in a row with a good win over Corsham.
After the early loss of Henry Mellor to a miss hit lofted drive the Deane innings was dominated by Sam Loud and Jack Fraser.

They put on a partnership of 209 runs totally dominating the Corsham attack.
Relief for Corsham finally came when Jack Fraser was caught on the mid wicket boundary for 92. an innings consisting of 11 x 4's and 2 x 6's.
Sam Loud then went bowled for 120 with 17 x 4's and 1 x 6.

With 2 rain breaks the innings and game was reduced to 42 overs with the Deane finishing on 278 for 5.

After another Len and Liz feast for teas Corsham started their reply and it was Joel Larkman 6-0-26-3 striking with his first ball and then 2 other times to reduce them to 31 for 3. At this stage it looked all over a contest but Corsham had other ideas. Liam Sumison (71) and Mark Hick (48) batted very well to score at a good rate to put the game back in the balance.
The introduction of Jason Squire 9-0-33-3 and then Jack Fraser 5.3 - 0 -25 -3 eventually taking the game away from them and they folded to 184 all out.
