The Cavaliers secured local bragging rights as they completed the double over their Taunton counterparts with a thumping win by 156 runs. After winning the toss openers Dave Stephenson and Harry Smith made use of a fine batting wicket putting on 60 for the first wicket until a mix up left Stephenson run out for 23. Smith then followed falling just short of his 50 for 45. Louis Corbin and Ben Thomas then rebuilt with Corbin making 40 and Thomas 24. The rest of the innings belonged to Ben Coomber who produced a number of glorious shots in making 88 he was able supported by Ed Mellor who made 23, leaving the Cavaliers on an impressive 264 all out in the last over.
Simon Manley began ominously for Taunton taking 2 fours off the first over from Ed Mellor. Mellor then replied with the wicket of Hake caught by John House. Ben Redwood then dismissed the dangerous Manley with House again catching this time diving forward at extra cover. Mellor was building up quite a head of steam and his second wicket followed as Bevan mistimed a pull shot and Coomber took a well-judged catch at square leg. Wickets then followed regularly with Sam Holmes finally getting the luck his bowling has deserved taking 3 wickets and John House taking the other in a parsimonious spell. It was left to skipper Charlie Axon to pick up the final wicket as Wilson chipped to mid-on for Ben Thomas to take the catch.
