The Cavaliers carried on their good form defeating unbeaten Weston Super Mare by 36 runs. After winning the toss the Cavaliers lost Dan Parson early, but Dave Stephenson 19 and Hugh Bellamy 32 lead a recovery until they were both dismissed by leg spinner Whitlock. Skipper Charlie Axon 19 and Graham Johnson 30 had a good partnership until both departed. Matt Kingdom 16 added some impetus, but the Cavaliers were indebted to a ninth wicket partner shup of 34 from Connor Chilcott 23 not out and Harry Phillips 9 not out which saw them reach a competitive 192 from their 45 overs.
Chilcott than struck early removing Green with Aman Rao picking up a couple of early wickets including a fine one-handed catch from the evergreen Dave Stephenson. A partnership from Richards and Bernard was threatening to take the game away from the Cavaliers until Chilcott returned to pick up 2 more wickets (3-33). Rao than pick ed up two more wickets in his second spell to end with figures of 4-27. It was left to Graham Johnson to finish the innings bowling Weston’s eleventh man to end with figures of 1-28 from his eight overs. Steve Giles also bowled a miserly spell of 9 overs for only 18 runs.
