In a game rearranged on the Bank Holiday due to Somerset’s participation in the Cup Final, the Cavaliers hosted Leigh on Mendip. After losing the toss the Cavaliers found themselves in the field with Connor Chilcott claiming an early wicket. Leigh were playing positively, and the Cavaliers were relieved to gain the second wicket after good work from Asif Khan and Chilcott effected a run out. The Introduction of Jonathan Lewis Oliver saw two quick wickets fall with good catches from Chilcott and skipper Charlie Axon. Dan Trick then mopped up the tail with a spell of fast bowling taking his first ever five wicket haul. Lewis Oliver also claimed another wicket to need up with 3.
Dan Parsons started off positively hitting two sixes before he departed for 21. A number of quick dismissals led to a mini collapse as the Cavaliers slumped to 57 for 4. Axon and Lewis Oliver slowly ground out the win with an unbroken partnership with Lewis Oliver finishing on 20.
