U11 vs Staplegrove

A clear win this morning v Staplegrove by 63 runs. 
(TD Dynamos 291 for 4 wkts, Staplegrove 228 for 11 wkts).

Batting :
Ben Smith (17 not out) & James Baker (9, bowled) put in 22 runs.
Ben Seddon (7 not out) & Reuben Thomas (10, bowled twice) scored 6 runs.
Eddie Carrillo (15 not out) & Finn Woodgate-Jones (12 not out) put together 26 runs.
Isaac Finch (49 not out) & Ashton Rigby (3, bowled) had partnership of 37 runs.

There were two run outs (by James Baker & Isaac Finch). Ashton Rigby took a catch.

Highlights : Isaac Finch was stand out player with 40 runs, 5 wkts, a run out and he kept wicket for 8 overs. Ben Smith, once again, batted well and kept wicket for 8 overs. Ashton Rigby bowled very well, but only faced 5 balls whilst batting with Isaac! Ben Seddon took a wicket with his very first ball (he might have had two, but dropped the return catch). Good to see Eddie Carrillo, Reuben Thomas & Finn Woodgate-Jones debut. They all did ok and will grow in confidence as the season progresses.

Observations : (1) Running between the wickets was good/improved from first game. (2) Fielding still needs some work. One catch taken, one catch dropped. Several players missed balls struck along the ground, even when straight at them and moving at only moderate pace. Some have habit of scrambling on hands and knees when they get to ball and then trying to throw in from this position.
