Dynamos vs Minehead

TD Dynamos U11 : 306 (2 wkts) beat Minehead U11 : 235 (6 wkts) by 71 runs.

214-1 after 4 overs : Tommy Whyborn ( 11 runs, not out) & Reuben Thomas (3 runs, bowled x 1).
Solid and aggressive batting from Tommy, supported by Reuben, against Minehead's opening District quicks.
247- 1 after 8 overs : Ben Smith (7 runs, not out) & Freddie Jarrett (12 runs, Not Out). 
Ben and Freddie faced some wayward bowling, hitting the ball hard when they could reach it, but all too often hitting fielders. 
263 - 2 after 12 overs : Finn Woodgate-Jones ( 4 runs,  not out) & Ben West  (2 runs, not out). Finn and Ben pushed the ball around and stayed solid against the returning Minehead opener. Crucially, preserving their wickets. 
306 - 3 after 16 overs : Isaac Finch (23 runs, not out & Ashton Rigby ( 17 runs, bowled x 1), Aggressive batting from Isaac and Ashton added 43 runs for the final pair with the loss of only 1 wicket.
The score of 306 showed the importance of preserving their wickets and being aggressive against the bad balls. Dynamos would begin the second innings as favourites.

Good all round performance again, potent bowling and some good catches behind the wickets at keeper and slip, never let Minehead in to the game. A few lapses in concentration in the field (ground fielding and backing up) allowed Minehead to edge closer to the run rate. But 4 wickets in 2 overs from Ben S and Tommy, and a great catch at slip by Freddie saw off the possibility of a Minehead come back.
Thanks go to Tommy and Henry who came as Reserves, with Tommy getting a game due to Jack's injured knee.
