TD Dynamos U11 : 253 lost to Taunton St Andrews U11 : 264 by 11 runs.
TD Dynamos Batting (started at 200)
214-1 after 4 overs : Tommy Whyborn ( 9 runs, bowled) & Ben Smith (11 runs, not out).
Solid start, picking off runs seeing off the Saints attack building a platform, before Tommy got a good ball taking the top of his off stump.
218-3 after 8 overs : Henry Earp (7 runs, out once) & Freddie Jarrett (6 runs, out once).
239-4 after 12 overs : Brogan Flitton ( 17 runs, not out) & Eddie Carillo (9 runs, out once). Good aggressive batting and running from Brogan and Eddie
253-8 after 16 overs : Isaac Finch (23 runs, out X 2) & Jack Hiett (10, out x 2), took the score to 277 but the loss of 4 Wkts pegged the Deane back to 253.
The score of 253 would be difficult for the Deane to protect on this fast outfield.

Eddie Carrillo: 3-0-13-2
Ben Smith : 1-0-10-0
Henry Earp: 3-0-24-1
Freddie Jarrett: 1-0-12-0
Jack Hiett : 2-1-5-1
Brogan Flitton: 3-0-17-2
Good all round performance in the field, with improved ground fielding and throwing, creating Run Out chances and resulting in a couple of wickets. A fast outfield meant that the quicker bowlers went faster off the bat (Isaac and Henry) despite both bowling full and straight.
Eddie and Jack bowled well keeping the Dynamos in the game with wickets, dragging the Saints back to our total. Some great keeping from Tommy kept any erratic bowling from costing runs and quick feet resulting in a run out.
It came down to the last over with Brogan needing 2 wickets consistently beat the bat, Tommy had a run out appeal turned down and when Brogan took the final wicket the game had already slipped away.
Isaac deserves credit for his rotation of the bowling and keeping the Dynamos in the game up to the last over. He sure is having a steep learning curve as Skipper and, other than the occasional hint from the coaches, is doing it independently with the support of his well drilled team.
Players of the Match:
Brogan for a good all-round performance and Tommy for excellent wicket-keeping in tough up and down conditions.
See you all Thursday for training. Next game H v Dynamos either at Deane or Bishops Lydeard.
