Taunton Deane Cricket Club is proud to be the home of the Somerset Disabled Cricket Team. Their 2015 fixture schedule will follow ASAP.

In their own words:

We are a well established cricket club for people with physical and learning disabilities. We were founded in 1997 to give disabled people of all ages the opportunity to play competitive cricket and for those with less experience to obtain new skills. The club is proud to be sponsored by Lentells Chartered Accountants.

As well as organising coaching sessions and tournaments within our County, we also take part in the National County Championship that is organised by the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) and BACD (British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities). We have won the County Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2009.

We have played our matches at Taunton Deane CC since 2009. We are very proud to call the Deane our ‘home’ ground. As a club they have been wonderfully supportive hosts, who go out of their way to support us on match days, which is greatly appreciated by players, families, carers and all those involved with our club.

The club is always looking for new members. We welcome people of all ages and abilities and are proud of our reputation for including players of all types of physical and learning impairments. Our Club is run by disabled people for disabled people. For further information about Somerset Disabled CC please contact: JRJBellew@googlemail.com
