The Cavaliers continued their challenge for promotion with a maximum point victory over Huish and Langport. After winning the toss Dave Stephenson and Harry Smith started positively until Smith edged behind for 18. Louis Corbin soon followed for 2. Stephenson continued to plunder runs with skipper Charlie Axon with the partnership putting on 130 for the third wicket in twenty overs. Stephenson brought up his second century of the season and was promptly out for 100. This brought Ben Thomas to the crease and any thoughts that the scoring rate would slow down were quickly dispelled as he hit first ball for 4. Axon then fell sweeping to deep square for 72, but new batsman Val Simillien kept up the run rate. Thomas then brought up the Cavaliers third fifty of the innings until he fell for a less then run a ball 56. Ed Mellor then joined in the fun until the Cavaliers declared with two overs to go on 322.
Tom Walsh then bowled with great pace and movement to dismiss opener Stannett for 0 with Stephenson taking a fine catch at slip. Ed Mellor then took over down the hill and followed up from last week combining pace movement and bounce to claim 4 wickets for 27 off 7 overs. Tom Burgess then chipped in with 2 for 13 off 6 and Ben Redwood with 2 for 2 off 2 overs including two wickets in two balls with catches by Charlie Axon, to leave ten men Huish & Langport all out for 84 giving the Cavaliers victory by the margin of 238 runs.
