The Crusaders travelled to the very picturesque Barrington cricket club. Acting captain Bruce Crosland won the toss and didn't hesitate in asking Barrington to bat. Another very youthful team took the field. Barrington scored steadily throughout the innings to finish 220 all out. Great credit to the team for their perseverance and thoroughly deserved to take all 10 wickets. The pick of the bowlers was Matt Kingdom with 4-28 off his 12 overs ably assisted by Toby Griifiths 3-45 and Will Mellor 2-24. Some of the catching was magnificent with 2 fantastic catches takes by the wonderfully noisy Toby Stone and by George Loker.
The Crusaders innings followed the same pattern as the weekend before with wickets falling steadily as the Barrington bowlers bowled beautifully. A last wicket stand of 25 by young Ben Mills and George Loker being the highlight as the young team were bowled out for 79.
A big mention for a great performance as captain by Bruce Crosland in the field and he deserves a lot of credit for doing a fantastic job with a team containing again 8 under 15's.
