The Crusaders fell to their second loss in two weeks, failing to keep St Andrews' 4th team equivalent under control. Saints were put in to bat on a damp, grassy wicket at Bishop Foxes and struggled early against father son duo Steve and Josh Nelson. League restrictions and injury in the 7th brought this proud moment to a close, but Josh came back even stronger later in the innings. Completing his 8 over quota for the first time and showing great commitment to fulfilling his talent. These early changes brought wickets, Matt Warren taking the two openers, but poor fielding allowed Chris Wyatt to race to 120, the opposition ending on 238/4.
In reply, Crusaders started well with 79/1 from the first 12, James Lamb opening with a valuable 65 in his second game keeping wicket. Three frustrating run outs followed and an elongated tail end left the side a long way short, 120 all out, with plenty to think about before another away game at Curry Rivel next week.
