U11As - No Mercy for Saints

Top of the table (on run rate) Taunton St Andrews were hosted by second placed Deane U11A's at the Lowers, this balmy summer's evening.
As the evening temperatures soared in to the 40s (Fahrenheit ) TStA batted first.
TD: Rupert B, Tom N, Ollie S, George J, Theo H, Alex C, Will T, Isaac F, Tommy W.
The Deane bowling onslaught began, with every bowler taking wickets and the fielding being at X-man level!
All the bowlers excelled, pick for the coach was George Jarrett, with his full length away swing taking 2 for 5. Tom Newman took a catch on the square leg boundary that would have graced any first class match. TStA crumbled to 187.
The loss of only 3 wickets, and solid scores in the 30's from Alex and Rupert solidly backed up by all the team saw the Deane reach 315 to win by 128 runs in this top of the Table clash!

Well played lads, goes to show that all those training nights, backing up , throwing, bowling drills etc all pay off when the big matches come around.
